Attention Grade 12 students planning to apply to Queens University. If you would like to be considered as the school nominated applicant for the Queen’s Chancellor’s Scholarship please pick up and complete a preliminary questionnaire in Student Services. To qualify students must demonstrate superior academic ability, creative and original thinking, involvement in school or community activities and proven leadership qualities. Questionnaires are due back to Student Services by Friday, November 3rd.
Attention students interested in intermediate band, there are not enough names on the list to run a rehearsal tonight, so there will be NO band practice after school today. However, the list will stay up for another week for anyone who was still deciding. Please also see Mrs. Marriott if you need an instrument or have a question. Another shout out to St. Pius and CBA graduates who can already play an instrument. This band is the perfect way for you to get involved at St. John’s. And grade 10’s who miss playing music, being in the band is a great way to keep the skills you developed last year. Grab a friend from last year, and sign up.
