JC STEM is starting back up again this year.  Senior STEM will be on October 23rd, the speaker will be starting promptly at 1:00 pm, so grab your lunch quickly and head to Room 161.  Junior STEM will be October 24th for some fun hand on activities.  We are always looking for new members.  See Mrs. Koolen in Room 161 or Mrs. Todd in Room 162 for more info.

Attention students, are you looking for a fun way to work towards your 40 volunteer hours?  Yes, then why not volunteer at our Elimination Draw on Saturday, November 2nd.  Students are needed to help with setting up and clearing tables in the gym.  If you are interested, there is a sign-up sheet on the door of room 144.  See Ms. Cupoli if you have any questions.

St. Pius Church is looking for students to help with our Hallowe’en for Hoodies project.  Join us as we support the Saint Vincent de Paul Society with a collection of cold weather items.  On Thursday, October 31st we’ll be going door to door collecting hoodies, coats, mitts, scarves, gloves, and other cold weather gear to help our less fortunate neighbors through the winter.  This is a great way to get out on Hallowe’en evening to support the community and spend more time with friends.  To find out more information, contact Andrew Beach at St. Pius Church or speak to Chap Andy.

Attention curlers, tryout times have been posted.  Please see the door of room 202 for information and come see Mr. Todd to confirm you are coming out.

Attention Grade 12 students looking to attend post-secondary school next year.  Scholarship season is fully underway.  There is currently 7.5 million dollars’ worth of scholarships that are open for application on scholartree.ca.  Once a student completes their profile, they will be matched with all the awards that they qualify for.  Currently the following are available:  Scholarship for Music and Art students, Live Bright Scholarship, and Scholarship for Community Leadership.  Visit scholartree.ca for details.

Reminder book club will be meeting tomorrow- Tuesday, October 22nd during both lunches in the library.
