A special reminder to anyone who wants to tryout for the girls curling team that our next tryout is today-Wednesday, October 30th.  No experience is needed, but Mr. Todd really needs to know who is coming.  So, if you signed up, please drop by room 202 to let Mr. Todd know if you can make it.

Students wishing to accumulate community volunteer hours should check the opportunities board outside of Student Services regularly.  Currently the Salvation Army is looking for volunteers for their Kettle Campaign.  There is a volunteer meeting at the Salvation Army this coming Monday, November 4th at 7:00 pm.  Call 519-752-7813 or see details posted on the opportunities board outside of Student Services.  Regarding other potential community service hour accumulation opportunities that students discover, students are reminded that if they are not sure if the activity would count towards their graduation requirement they should contact their Guidance Counsellor.  As always, Community Involvement Activity sheets are available in Student Services.

There is a meeting at senior lunch today in Room 243 for anyone attending Thursday’s Laurier “Day at University” trip.  Again, the meeting is today during senior lunch in room 243.

Attention grade 12 students, Burger King has scholarships available up to $50,000.00.  Canadian senior students with a GPA of 2.5 or higher can apply from now until December 15th, 2910.  Students are encouraged to visit bk-scholars.com for details.  Check the bulletin board outside of Student Services for the Burger King poster.
