Attention Grade 12 students, there are many Western National Scholarships available.  Our staff has been asked to nominate up to four graduating students who are applying to attend Western University for the fall of 2019.  Applications to be nominated are due in Student Services by Monday, January 14, 2019.  For more information on the Western National Scholarships please come to Student Services.

Any students who have period one spare and who would like to donate to the angel campaign, please bring donations to Mrs. Padmore in the Main Office.

Attention Grads, this is a reminder that your grad fees are due by this Friday, December 7th.  Please see Mrs. Camilleri or Mrs. Ronson if you have any concerns regarding these fees.  Thank you for your attention with this important matter.

Attention Grade 12 students.  Schulich Leadership Scholarships award 50 scholarships annually.  Twenty-five awards of $100,000.00 for engineering and twenty-five awards of $80,000.00 for science, technology, or mathematics.  Our staff has been asked to nominate one graduating student who is planning on attending one of their partnered universities in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics related program.  Applications to be nominated are due in Student Services by Monday, January 21, 2019.  For more information on the Scholarships, please come to Student Services.

Attention Grade 9 and 10’s, are you interested in participating in some amazing environmental opportunities?  Do you have some great ideas about reducing our energy consumption?  Come and join a dynamic team of students who all share a common goal, saving our planet, one battery and one water bottle at a time.  To sign up, see Mr. Beaudin in room 109 today during junior lunch.  New members are always welcome.

Do you like top read, discuss books or maybe sit and learn about new ideas?  SJC Book club is a perfect place for you.  Our first meeting will be tomorrow-Wednesday, December 5th during both senior and junior lunch in the library.

Did you attend the semi-formal dance, had your picture taken, but missed the opportunity to buy it?  Well do not despair.  We will be selling semi-formal photos outside the cafeteria on both lunches today.  This will be your final opportunity to buy photos.  Do not miss it.

Today is the last day to pick up report cards.  If they are not picked up by 3pm today, they will be mailed home.

The next French Club meeting will take place on Wednesday, December 5th in room 212 during junior lunch and room 210 during senior lunch.  Arrangements are made in advance so please sign you name on the list outside of room 212 by Monday, December 3rd at 12 noon, if you wish to be included in this event.  We have a special guest who will speak to the group about his experiences learning several languages.  See Madame Iliopoulos-DaSilva in room 212 for further details.  Venez et parlez francais avec nous.

Attention if you attended Semi-Formal last weekend, photos will be available for sale today outside the cafeteria during both lunches.  Digital prices are $4.00 for 2 in a photo, $6.00 for up to 6 people and $8.00 for over 6 people.  Photo prints are also available for $5.00 each.

The St. George Garden Club is once again offering a grant of $1,000.00 in 2019.  To be eligible, students must be pursuing post-secondary education in one of the following:  agriculture, horticulture or environmental studies.  Students can obtain information directly from the St. George Garden Club.  There is a poster on the Scholarships Board outside of Student Services.

The Honour J and Eagle Award are two of the most prestigious awards at St. John’s College students can earn.  It recognizes outstanding achievement in academics and contribution in a variety of areas of school life including:  Arts, Clubs, Sports, School Volunteer Service, and Campus Ministry.  Applications are now available in Student Services.

Attention Swim team, due to repairs at Wayne Gretzky todays practice is cancelled and rescheduled for Tuesday, December 4th at 7 a.m.  Thursday’s practice does not change.

Attention wrestlers, please return your permission forms to Mr. Pomponio.  Practices begin at Ross MacDonald School at 4 pm tomorrow-Thursday.  Forms must be in before practicing.
