Attention students interested in joining the intermediate band, this band is made up of mostly grade 9 and 10 students who can already play an instrument and read music at a beginner level.  Instruments are provided by the school.  The band practices once a week on Thursdays from 3:15 to 4:30.  If you are currently taking grade 9 music, if you took music last year, or if you learned to play an instrument at your previous school, then this band is for you.  Please sign up on the door of room 142 some time this week.  More information is posted outside the music room.  See Mrs. Marriot if you have any questions.

Attention piano players, if you have completed your grade 6 piano exam and are interested in earning some money teaching piano lessons, please see Mrs. Marriott for a teaching opportunity.

Are you interested in studying abroad? Do you want to go to school while immersing yourself in a different culture?  Are you interested in going on an exchange?  If so, there will be a Rotary Youth Exchange information meeting today-Thursday, October 18th in the Divine Mercy Room at Senior lunch.  Due to the Pep Rally we are on an altered timetable, so the meeting will begin at 12:15 p.m.  Please see Mr. Lynch if you require any more information.  Thank you.

The SJC Publication continues to take shape.  For all writers, this is a reminder that we will be meeting next Wednesday, October 24th in the Library during both lunches to review our stories.  Any questions, be sure to speak with either Mr. Salciccioli or Mr. Heida.  And of course, new writers are always welcome.

No cross-country practice today.  Next practice is Monday after school along with a mandatory meeting.  Please bring your SJC jersey to be returned.
