Tickets for our Spring Musical, Bring It On, are now on sale in the Main Office. Adults $15.00, Students and Seniors $10.00. That’s a bargain indeed.
Students interested in participating in “une soiree cinema” with the French Club from Assumption College, are invited to view a French film playing tomorrow-Thursday at Assumption in the Lecture Hall from 3:30 – 5:30. If interested, please confirm with Madame in room 210 by the end of today.
Attention all students who have picked up information regarding the France/Italy trip over the March Break next year with the Modern Languages Department, please submit your first payment and the Application form as soon as possible to secure your spot. Do not miss out on the wonderful opportunity. Your seat is not secured until you submit your first deposit as space is limited. See Madame in Room 210 as soon as possible.
Attention all students wishing to attend the annual dinner meeting of Le Club Francais at Holy Trinity on Thursday, May 30th right after school. This is our annual dinner where all students of all our three high schools French Clubs meet and share a French meal together. Please see Madame in room 210 to sign up and for more information. We will be taking a bus and we will be returning by 6:15 p.m.
The annual SJC Spring Concert is tonight at 7:00 in the cafeteria. It is a free concert and will feature the school bands as well as vocal performances. Come out and enjoy some great music. A reminder to music students that help is needed to set up for the concert. Please go to the music room after school to help out. Check the board outside the music room door for other important reminders.

Attention students wishing to accumulate some community hours. The City of Brantford is looking for volunteers for the Canada Day celebration to be held July 1st at Lion’s Park. See the volunteer hours bulletin board outside of Student Services for contact information.
Attention grade 12 students who have accepted admission to college or university, the staff of Student Services would love it if you would come by to fill out an eagle stating your name and the name of the college or university you are attending in the fall. We’d like to post your eagle on the Leaving the Nest bulletin board outside of Student Services. Drop by and see us in Student Services.
Grade 12 students interested in applying for a $1,000.00 Kiwanis Club of Grand river Endowment fund bursary can obtain an application in Student Services. Applications are invited from students who wish to continue their education at a post-secondary institution in Canada with a preference given to students who pursue studies in health education or in a related field. Applications are due no later than May 21, 2019.
Grade 12 students interested in applying for the Ted Beare Memorial bursary can obtain an application in Student Services. Applications are invited from students who have graduated in 2019 from a Brant County secondary school and who will begin first-year studies in September at a post-secondary institution is a sport related field such as, but not limited to, physical education, kinesiology, media studies leading to a career in sports journalism or a related program.

Attention girls interested in applying for a $250.00 award from Soroptimist International of Grand Erie Secondary School Girl Volunteer Award. The application deadline is April 30, 2019. Attention students wishing to complete some community involvement hours should review the bulletin board outside of Student Services. We have added an opportunity to rake leaves for a senior citizen. Please check the bulletin boards from time to time for opportunities.

Attention any students currently not taking Phys Ed and is interested in participating in the school Track meet on Tuesday, April 30th will need to pick up a permission form at the gym and sign up with the Phys Ed Department. Students must participate in three events on this date. Please see Mrs. Elliott or more information. The deadline for permissions is Thursday at 9 a.m.

Attention Grade 12 students who will be enrolled in a Canadian college or university undergraduate music program or a Bachelor of Education -music program in the 2019-2020 school year. This is a very time sensitive announcement. The Tom Rayner Scholarship Awards are $700.00, $600.00 and $500.00. The Mel Plant Award of $700.00 is for vocal music only. Students interested in either of these scholarships are to submit a letter of interest including description of scholastic and musical achievements, planned course of study, school involvement, and community involvement. The letter of interest is to be accompanied by two letters of recommendation and high school transcript. Students are welcome to pick up an information sheet and their transcript in Student Services. Applications are due by e-mail this Friday, April 19th.

First Ontario Credit Union sponsors youth with opportunities to learn, grow, and develop new skills and friendships. Co-operative Young Leaders summer camp is a unique experience for youth ages 14-18. It is a series of week-long programs that bring young people together from across Ontario to learn about and practice co-operative principles, including obtaining leadership skills through games, team building, and community projects. If you are interested in applying to attend the Co-operative Young Leaders summer camp, pick up an application in Student Services. Applications are due by April 18, 2019 to First Ontario Credit Union.
The Varsity Boys soccer participated in the 5 vs 5 Trinity indoor tournament last Thursday. The team won the tournament with strong offensive and defensive play beating Paris 10-1 and Holy Trinity 8-1. Team was led in scoring by Noah D. and Ben M.. Connor T. was outstanding in goal. Strong efforts by the whole team and the freshman Lucas G., Hunter E. and Nick J. Good luck to the team on Wednesday at the Redeemer Tournament in Ancaster.
