BACK TO CLASS PREPARATIONS

Student Timetables for September will be distributed on: 

Tuesday, August 14th [Grades 09 & 12], and Wednesday, August 15th [Grades 10 & 11]

from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

In order to receive your timetable, students must provide their Student Information Verification Form, and the Notice of Collection & Use of Personal Consent form which were provided with their June report card mailing or the summer mailing for new students.

Volunteers needed to help celebrate a Very Merry Un-birthday for all children who didn’t get invited to parties or have kids come celebrate their birthdays with them.  Come out to help with the celebration on July 8th from 12pm – 4pm at Mohawk Park, 51 Lynnwood Drive.  Please see the volunteer board near the student services office for contact information or visit the Facebook page “Kindness for Kaitlin”. 

East Ward Echo Place Neighborhood Association is currently looking for volunteers to participate in our upcoming Community Clean-up at Shallow Creek Park.  The event is taking place on Saturday, June 16th from 10 am to 12 pm.  Please see the poster on the Volunteer board by Student Services. 

The Brantford General Hospital is currently in the process of recruiting new volunteers, and would like to spread the message to the students of St. John’s College.  This is an exciting opportunity and if you would like to be part of it, please contact Ashley Wilkinson at Brant Community Healthcare System or see Student Services for more information. 

The Paris and St George Public Library have two student summer job opportunities. They would like to give the students at St John’s College the opportunity to apply.  They are looking for someone who can assist the library staff by preforming general office task.  Please apply by sending a cover letter and resume to County pf Brant Public Library, attention Christine Scrivener before July 6th. For more information see student services. 

Amber Lea Place Retirement Home is looking for dependable student volunteers with good work ethic during July/August to help run activities. If you are interested please contact Keith Barrett at Amber Lea Place. 

Attention Grad, this is a change regarding graduation packages.  Your graduation packages will be available for pick up starting Friday June 15, 2018.  Please note this change, packages will be available on Friday June 15, 2018 and Monday June 18th from Mrs. Hughes in the Principals Office.  After these dates they are available in Student Services.  The package contains information regarding grad rehearsal and ceremony, one white pass for the graduate and three blue Embossed passes for guests.  If you received an extra pass from the Lottery it will be included in the package.  Graduates must sign for their package and will be required to show their student card.  Students with outstanding extra-curricular fees, textbooks, library books and/or materials will have to clear all debts before receiving their package. 

Attention all prom goers.  If you ordered digital copies of photos you should have received them in an email to your board account.  If you ordered prints, you can pick them up from   Mrs. DiStefano at senior lunch today, tomorrow morning or Friday.  If you weren’t able to order your orders, please see Mrs. DiStefano in Room 232.

Would you like to travel to France and Italy for March Break 2019?  Then this announcement is for you.  There will be an important information meeting for parents and students today at 6:30 p.m. in the Upper staffroom.  We will be going over the itinerary, and pricing for the Europe trip.  Come on out to find out about this exciting opportunity.  Hope to see you there.

This message is regarding important information for Graduation.  The families of our graduating students will have the opportunity to enter a lottery for an extra guest pass for the graduation ceremony.  Applications will be available to pick up in Student Services now.  The application must be signed by parents, dated and returned to the Student Services office by this Friday, June 8th by 3:00 p.m.  Families who receive an extra pass will find it included in the grad package.  Graduation packages will be ready for pick up in the Student Services office beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2018.  The package contains information regarding grad rehearsal and ceremony, one white pass for the graduate and three blue embossed passes for guests.  Graduates must sign for their package and will be required to show their student card.  Students with outstanding extra-curricular fees, textbooks, library books and/or other materials will have to clear all debts before receiving their package.

Prom photos that were taken at the hall will be available for viewing and sale today at lunch outside the caf.

St. Gabriel’s School is having their annual Fun Fair tomorrow-Tuesday, June 5th.  They need your help to make the Fun Fair the best it can be.  If you would like to volunteer please see the flyer on the board by Student Services.

Attention all athletes and coaches, the annual athletic awards banquet will take place on Monday, June 4th in our cafeteria.  Tickets will be on sale in the cafeteria today, which will be the last day for tickets.  The cost is $20.00 and includes a chicken and rib BBQ dinner with sides.  Don’t miss out on this great annual event.  Coaches encourage and remind teams and award recipients.
