Attention grade 12 students interested in applying for a Schulich Leader Scholarship.  Schulich is looking for entrepreneurial-minded innovators.  A Schulich Leader is a student who has been selected by one of Schulich’s 20 partner universities to receive $100,000.00 or $80,000.00 to pursue an undergraduate degree in an eligible STEM program.  St. John’s College can nominate one student to apply for a Schulich Leader Scholarship.  Details can be obtained in Student Services.  Applications to be a nominee are due in Student Services by Friday, January 17th, 2020.

Attention all students traveling to France & Italy over the March Break with the Modern Languages Department.  The mandatory parent/guardian meeting will take place on Tuesday, December 10th at 6:00 p.m. in the Lecture Hall at Assumption College.  You and your parent/guardian must attend.  For this meeting, please bring your Health Card Number and 2 emergency telephone numbers.  Important details and information regarding Health and Safety will also be discussed at this meeting.  See Madame in room 210 if you require more information.

Attention students wishing to accumulate community service hours.  Each Thursday the Knights of Columbus host a fish and chips night at the Knights of Columbus Hall which raises monies for their charitable works.  They are seeking your help on Thursdays from 4:30 – 6:30 during their fish and chip nights.  Students would assist in the kitchen and help with serving food to customers.  Interested students can contact Sean Adams of the Knights of Columbus at sadams@bhncdsb.ca.

Attention Grade 12 students applying to attend Niagara College.  Niagara College has up to 12 bursary awards of $2,500.00 for students in financial need.  They are looking for technology focused superstars.  Interested students may be those looking at a future in carpentry, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, welding etc.  Information about Niagara College’s Paul and Gerri Charette Endowed Bursary are available at niagaracollege.ca/technologyaward as well as on the bulleting board outside of Student Services.
