Senior students are reminded that Full Disclosure is Tuesday, November 26th. Any course that a senior student does not want to be on their transcript needs to be dropped by Tuesday, November 26th. See the guidance department if you have any questions.

Attention Grade 12 students applying to attend Niagara College. Niagara College has up to 12 bursary awards of $2,500.00 for students in financial need. They are looking for technology focused superstars. Interested students may be those looking at a future in carpentry, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, welding etc. Information about Niagara College’s Paul and Gerri Charette Endowed Bursary are available at niagaracollege.ca/technologyaward as well as on the bulleting board outside of Student Services.
A reminder to all writers submitting their short stories to the Laurier Stedman writing contest that your submissions are due not later than today. Handouts with instructions for your submissions are available in the Library. Please be sure to get these instructions and follow them accordingly. If you have any questions, speak with Mr. Heida. Are you interested in sights, music, art, and the cultural life of New York City, then listen up? Art and Music Department is planning a trip to New York City in May 2020. If you want to know more about the New York City trip, than join us for an information meeting. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 26, in the evening at 6:30 p.m. in the upper staffroom. Bonjour. Le Club Francais will be meeting in room 210 tomorrow-Friday, November 22nd. Students studying French both this semester and next semester are invited and encouraged to attend. The meetings will take place during both lunches in room 210. Please sign up on the door of room 210. It is important to sign up so that arrangements can be made based on the number of people attending. The guest speaker is our very own Rise student Jennifer Damoah who was born in Montreal. Come and eat our lunch in room 210 tomorrow. You may speak to any of the French teachers if you require more information.

Students must show proof of post-secondary school Deferred Admission status into a program for the next school year. More information about this scholarship is available on Scholartree.ca.

Attention students wishing to accumulate community service hours. Each Thursday the Knights of Columbus host a fish and chips night at the Knights of Columbus Hall which raises monies for their charitable works. They are seeking your help on Thursdays from 4:30 to 6:30 during their fish and chip nights. Students would assist in the kitchen and help with serving food to the customers. Interested students can contact Sean Adams of the Knights of Columbus at sadams@bhncdsb.ca.

Girls volleyball tryout begin today. Senior girls’ tryouts are Monday, November 11th, Tuesday, November 12th and Wednesday, November 13th, all from 3:15 to 5 pm. Junior girls’ tryouts are Monday, November 11th, Tuesday, November 12th and Wednesday, November 13th, all starting at 5 pm.
